Privacy and cookies

Your calculator inputs never leave your browser

Every calculation on Ratesheet runs in your own browser. The day rates, salaries, profits and other figures you enter aren’t sent to us or anyone else, aren’t stored and aren’t used for advertising. Close the page and they’re gone.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and, if you agree, personalise them based on your visits to this and other websites.

You can learn how Google uses this information at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and turn off personalised ads in Google Ad Settings.

The consent banner

When you first visit from the UK or EEA, a consent message from Google’s certified consent management platform asks whether you agree to cookies for personalised ads. If you decline, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for things like frequency capping and fraud prevention. You can change your choice at any time using the “Privacy and cookie settings” link the message adds to the page.

Sponsored links

Some pages include a labelled sponsored link. If you click one, the partner may know you came from Ratesheet and may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We may earn a commission; it never changes the numbers.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you (normally none) and ask us to delete it. Contact hello@ratesheet.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
